Complex Internet applications are made up of many processes and functions. In many cases these processes require dedicated environments for custom configurations but do not fully utilize the resources of a dedicated server.  With data center space and power at a premium, server sprawl has become a problem for affordably maintaining Internet applications.

Virtualization is the solution to server sprawl.  By combining servers that are not fully utilizing the hardware they run on into a single server running virtualization technology, the costs associated with power, space, and hardware can be reduced while still providing the individual environments required by your application.  Virtualization can also be a very effective solution for development, staging, or testing environments.  Reliam supports and manages many of the top virtualization platforms including:
